Caricature

Humour has played a significant role in the satirical depiction of royalty, politicians, socialites and other public figures. Particularly fine are the lithographs of Maxim's by the French artist SEM (George Goursat) which capture the liveliness and spirit of La Belle Epoque in Paris.
